Frizzlife PD600-TAM3 Review: 600 GPD Tankless RO, and What “NSF/ANSI 58” Means Here

This page contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Filtered Water Wise earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate disclosure.

How this review was put together: from Frizzlife’s product page, its PD600-TAM3 test-report leaflet, NSF International’s public listings and public notices (links in “Sources” at the end). We have not tested this system ourselves. How we review. Last checked 28 October 2026.

    The short version

The Frizzlife PD600-TAM3 is a tankless under-sink reverse osmosis (RO) system. An electric booster pump pushes water through a 600-gallon-per-day membrane on demand, so there is no storage tank, the flow at the faucet is fast (Frizzlife quotes 0.41 gallons per minute), and Frizzlife claims a 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio. A third cartridge, the TAM3, adds minerals back for taste, and a display shows the output TDS and filter life.

The thing to understand before buying: the listing’s “NSF/ANSI 58&53&42&372” wording describes lab tests run to those standards’ methods, not certification. We found no NSF, WQA or IAPMO certification for its contaminant reduction. The only certification Frizzlife’s own leaflet cites is IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI 372, which covers the lead content of the materials, not what the system removes.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

    A good fit if you

    • Are short on cabinet space and don’t want a storage tank.
    • Fill kettles, pots or bottles often and want fast RO flow.
    • Care about water waste and like the idea of a 2:1 ratio rather than the much higher drain rates of most tank systems.
    • Have an outlet under the sink (or can add one).
    • Are on city (municipal) water. That is the water source Frizzlife’s manual lists.

Probably not the right pick if you

    • Need a certified claim for lead, arsenic, fluoride or PFAS for a specific health concern. Choose a system with an NSF, WQA or IAPMO listing for that claim (see alternatives).
    • Have no power under the sink, or want a system that works in a power cut. With no tank, there is no stored water when the pump can’t run.
    • Are bothered by appliance noise. A booster pump runs whenever water is being made.
    • Are on untreated well water. Frizzlife lists municipal water as the applicable source.

    Key specifications

From Frizzlife’s product page and PD600-TAM3 manual. Production, flow and drain ratio are the maker’s figures, not certified ones.

Spec PD600-TAM3 What it means in practice
Type Tankless under-sink RO with booster pump Makes water on demand; needs an outlet.
Cartridges Composite sediment + carbon block (ASR211), 600 GPD RO membrane, TAM3 alkaline remineralization filter Frizzlife calls it “8-stage” by counting layers inside the cartridges.
Rated production 600 gallons per day A maker rating. Cold water and low pressure reduce it.
Flow rate 0.41 gallons per minute Frizzlife says about 10 seconds to fill a 330 ml cup.
Pure-to-drain ratio 2:1 (maker claim) Far less waste than most non-pumped tank systems, if it holds in your home.
Working pressure 20–80 psi The pump means it copes with lower house pressure than non-pumped RO.
    Water temperature 39–100°F
    Power 110–240 V AC, 85 W rated Plug-in power supply.
    Size Main unit 5.3 × 14.7 × 15.5 in; TAM3 5 × 5 × 13.5 in No tank to find room for.
Monitoring Display shows output TDS and filter life Frizzlife says the TAM3 adds 10–30 ppm to TDS, so a handheld meter after the TAM3 reads higher than the display.

    Certification: what was verified

Status: not certified for contaminant reduction (as of 28 Oct 2026). Here is what we found:

    • NSF International: a search of NSF’s drinking-water listings for “Frizzlife” and for “PD600” returned no matching products. NSF also has a public notice dated 25 August 2023 stating that “Frizzlife is not certified by NSF and may not use the NSF certification mark or make any claims of NSF certification.” That notice was about a different Frizzlife product (the SW15), but it applies to the company.
    • What Frizzlife publishes: its leaflet for the PD600-TAM3 says “Testing performed under NSF/ANSI standards 42&53&58” by the SGS lab, and lists results for TDS (96.76% reduction in that test), lead, arsenic, fluoride, nitrate, PFOA, PFOS and others. The only certification it names is IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI 372 for low lead content.

What that does and doesn’t tell you:

    • A lab test is not certification. Certification means an accredited certifier (NSF, WQA or IAPMO R&T) tested the system, audits the factory and re-tests over time, and publishes a listing you can check. A one-off lab report commissioned by the maker isn’t the same, even when the lab follows the standard’s method.
    • The results are still plausible. RO membranes generally reduce TDS, lead, fluoride, arsenic (V) and PFAS well, and the EPA lists RO as effective for PFAS. The point is that nobody independent is vouching for this particular product.
    • NSF/ANSI 372 is about materials. It shows the parts in contact with water meet lead-content rules. It says nothing about removing lead from your water.
    • The display helps. A live TDS reading is a reasonable everyday check that the membrane is working, even without certification.

What we like and what to weigh up

    Strengths

    • No tank, so it saves cabinet space and there is no storage tank to sanitize.
    • Fast flow at the faucet, thanks to the pump.
    • Low claimed waste (2:1 pure-to-drain).
    • Works at lower pressure (from 20 psi) than non-pumped systems.
    • Twist-off cartridges and a TDS and filter-life display.

    Drawbacks

    • No contaminant-reduction certification, despite the NSF/ANSI numbers in the listing title.
    • Needs electricity, and makes no water in a power cut.
    • Pump noise while it runs.
    • Proprietary cartridges from one maker.
    • Higher pH is a taste choice, not a health benefit. Frizzlife’s marketing calls weakly alkaline water “beneficial to your health”; that isn’t an established finding.

    Maintenance and running costs

    Cartridge Replace
ASR211 composite (sediment + carbon) Every 12 months, sooner with poor feed water
600 GPD RO membrane About every 24 months, or when the display’s TDS rises
TAM3 remineralization filter About every 12 months

What drives the cost: the yearly composite and TAM3 cartridges, and a membrane every couple of years. The display’s filter-life countdown is a guide; the output TDS reading is the better sign the membrane is wearing out. Prices change often, so check the current cost of a year’s cartridges before you buy.

    Alternatives worth comparing

    Common questions

Is the Frizzlife PD600 NSF certified?

No. NSF’s listings show no Frizzlife products, and NSF has published a notice that Frizzlife may not claim NSF certification. The PD600-TAM3 was lab-tested by SGS using NSF/ANSI methods, and is certified only to NSF/ANSI 372 (lead content of materials) by IAPMO R&T, according to Frizzlife’s leaflet.

Does it work with a fridge or ice maker?

Frizzlife’s product page doesn’t cover this. With no tank, the pump has to start every time the fridge or ice maker draws water, so ask Frizzlife about its recommended setup before you plumb one in.

Does a tankless RO system really waste less water?

Pumped tankless systems generally send less water to the drain than non-pumped tank systems, because the pump raises the pressure across the membrane. The 2:1 figure is Frizzlife’s own and isn’t certified.
